How to Get Free Advertising from a Forum

I just wanted to take a bit of time to talk some more about advertising, since this is the way to get masses of people to look at your MLM.

Well, Conquer Your Niche came out very recently (just a few weeks ago).

All you have to do is join – this can be at no cost or you can do the upgrade. Each time you post a new message or reply to a message you get points for your own advertising. I have found that my ads are getting shown heaps of times and I have lots of clicks.

The other thing that is fun is that you can pick up lots of information about MLM, internet marketing, list building, driving traffic etc. As well as this you can start your own topic with any questions you want to ask. It is great. It is very useful to get a sense of what is going on in MLM, what are the cuttent issues, and especially the experiences of different people.

You can add your website to your signature, and you get plenty of opportunities to talk about yourself. Just no really blatant advertising in the forum.

I have found that it is really easy to write lots of posts, there are so many topics going on. It only takes a few minutes to write several posts too. The other advantage is that you learn heaps.

The time spent getting ad credits here is much more effective than a lot of the surf sites, and you get to learn useful stuff at the same time.

I guess that the main focus for people in MLM or any business is the bottom line – making money, and lots of it. So everyone concentrates on business plans, systems, efficiency, advertising, tools etc. That is fair enough, because you do need these things.

One of the areas for success that is often overlooked is what is going on inside you – your thinking. Over the last few years I have discovered that your thinking is the key to your success. Stinkin’ thinkin’ gets stinkin’ results!

The absolute key to success in all parts of your life, including your network marketing business, is directly related to what is going on inside your head. Now you have probably already heard this, and I hope that you have paid attention. It is so important.

How do millionaires think? Is their thinking different to the average person in a job, or the person that is always complaining, or the person who always makes excuses? Of course it is.

So who is in charge of your thoughts? You should be, because your thoughts determine your success. You do have the choice about how you think, how you react to things, and the actions you take.

You are actually heavily “programmed” by the things around you – your family, teachers, advertising, TV, movies, newspapers - everything that is going on. All of this input really has a large influence on what you think. And it happens without us knowing. The great news is that you can change your beliefs. A good example of this is when people may be “programmed” to think that being rich is selfish and that rich people do not deserve their wealth. This is of course ridiculous, however this type of thinking keeps people trapped in their current situation.

Successful people work on themselves all the time. They read great books, attend personal development seminars, listen to recordings – in fact, a great habit to establish is to do one of these activities everyday. So put aside some time each day to do this personal development. It is important and you will reap the benefits.

My favorite book is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. This is a classic success book. Read a bit each day.

Put the Net in Network Marketing

What does this mean? Well, I believe that to put the net in network marketing we use all the internet enabled technlogies that we can to build our MLM business.

Most MLM companies have a corporate website that everyone gets to use. They include information about the business and company, and often allow purchase of the products. However what we really need is a website that recruits. And there are now a lot of online MLMs that have a recruiting website. Unfortunately some of these sites want you to sign up before you know anything about the company or the products.

Once you have a good recruiting site, you need to get traffic to that site. And we need to get traffic in a cost effective way. The traffic you want is good targeted traffic – people who are looking for a great business, or people who really want your product.

If you purchase leads, make sure they are double opt-in leads – so you avoid any problems with spam.

You may have heard of funded proposals – this is where you generate some income while you find people for your business. One of the neatest systems that has been put together and works for any MLM is PayItForward4Profits. This has an education system to teach you how to generate leads – the people you find may join your business, or may already have their own business. It does not matter in the end. Because they will use the tools in the system which will earn you some money. It is very clever. This program is free to join too.

What Does This Woman Know About MLM?

I thought it was about time to properly introduce myself! My name is Janet Ellershaw, and I have been running a successful network marketing business for over 4 years now. I have spent most of my life working as a pharmacist. This has included working in pharmacies, hospitals and in the pharmaceutical industry. My last job was for a large pharmaceutical company, where I was involved in health policy.

The most important thing in my life is my family – I am married and have 3 adult children, who all still live at home. We have loads of pets – 2 dogs, a tortoise, heaps of tropical fish and a lovebird. We all love to travel and have holidays together. Our favorites are snow skiing and snorkelling on coral reefs.

My corporate job took me away from home for 3 days each week, and I was not happy. It was at this time that my husband was laid off, and I was pretty depressed at the prospect of working for another 20 years or so in a high pressure, high stress executive role.

So when we found out about network marketing we had a close look, and decided that this was the answer for us. Believe me, we worked really hard – probably too hard. We did well, and I was able to give up my job last year.

So this year has been my year – so that I can be a Mum and enjoy being with my family. It has also allowed me to really expand my horizons and embrace the wonderful leverage of the internet. This is so important for long term sustainable growth for my MLM business, and for the people in my team. We have to use the internet, or be left way behind.

In a way, building my business on the internet has really given me my freedom. Freedom to work whenever I like, provide information to people all over the world with ease, and the satisfaction of helping other people to do this too. I really and truly have a home based business, and I spend most of my time at home.

Choosing the Right MLM – online and offline

In my experience, people make decisions about joining a business a lot faster online than offline. Whether this is because the people who are online are different, or whether it is the influence of the internet on us, I cannot say. Maybe it is just easier to click a few boxes online than to do paperwork offline!

Whatever the case, the basic principles of choosing a business apply both on and offline. When you think about it, building a MLM business is not a quick, flash in the pan experience. Generally you would be aiming to make some money as soon as possible, with a longer term view to build up a substantial residual income. This being the case, would you want to devote several years of your life to building a business, and then have the company fold?

I recommend that you get the odds of success in your favor so that after a 5 to 10 year period, your company is going strong. To do this you will need to know something about the company, it’s management and track record (and the products of course).

If the company is publically listed on the stock exchange you will be able to easily check it’s financials. It is always best to make sure that the products provided are valuable, and something that you personally will use (even if it was not your business). It is a big help to you when building your business to value the products.

Make sure that there is a real need for the product. If it is a physical product, a consumable one is best. You want to be proud of any company you are associated with.

Do a few searches and look for complaints or problems. Check out a few forums and blogs to see what people are saying. You want a company that is credible, gives great customer service, and has a good system for handling problems and complaints. I like the ones with the online help, or a proper ticket system so you can get your questions answered. and it is always a good sign when you can phone in for a chat.

Most of us make sure that the business plan is fair and sustainable – watch out for some of the hype that is around too. Check that there is a demand for the product, and that it has something to differentiate it from all the others.

Importantly there must be a system – not just a corporate website. There must be a real system so that you can market your business, get training, and not have to worry about product logistics.

To be successful in MLM nowadays, companies really do need to get into the 21st century and think about internet marketing. So make sure that when you join, you know how you will find people on the internet, how they will view the business, and how you (and your prospects) will be trained. Some of the best marketing systems are not provided by the company, but by savvy marketers. There are quite a few of these around – I like those that actually help you to earn some money while building.

More on Building a List

While you are building your own list of subscribers, you may want to participate in some of the list building sites. There are lots of these around, and new ones seem to be springing up fairly often.

These usually have free memberships, and most of the time there is an option for various upgrades. I have learned that whenever I start the sign up process for a free list builder, to be ready for the one-time-offer! The first time I saw this I was quite surprised! Of course the very nature of the one-time-offer is a powerful marketing technique, creating urgency and fear that you will miss out!! This might seem a bit sneaky, but of you miss the O-T-O, you can always join again (you may have to use a digfferent email address though).

Remember that as a free member you generally have to promote the service to build a group that you can mail your advertising to. So if you do have something that you want to promote this is a good idea. If you spend some money on an upgraded membership you will usually be able to email a fairly large group more often.

I have also come across some list builders that are entirley free, have no elite membership or O-T-O. Here is one

Now here is something that is HOT off the press. I only just found out about this, and it looks very promising. This is called Bubonik (as in Bubonic Plague!). Now Bubonik is entirley fre.e, and it looks like it will be a very useful system for anyone that is doing any form of MLM or internet marketing. I have joined for fre.e, so have a look and see if you think this might be useful for you too.

The Bubonik system allows you to send fre.e traffic to websites, promote MLM and any product or program you wish, build subscriber lists, have newsletters… Wow, it sounds great.

Anyway, I figure that it is worth the time to check it out and give it a go! No risk.

And finally here is a new site that operates quite differently. It is a forum, and when you go to this forum and post a comment or contribution, you earn advertising credits. These allow you to advertise on the site. Quite clever.

How Do You Build Your MLM Business on the Internet?

Many people have their own home based business, and many of these are Network Marketing (MLM) opportunities. Most people start out with off-line methods of business building. Of course, there are heaps of MLM programs designed for the on-line community. So how do we bridge this gap, and apply internet marketing strategies to traditional MLM?

For me, the first thing I started to do was purchase “opportunity” leads. I found this to be a very costly process (these were realtime leads, not auto-responder leads). I found that most of the prospects were suspects, and had just filled in the form to see what it was. They were curious, not serious. I spent a lot of money, and a lot of time speaking to people who were not well qualified. So if you are purchasing leads, do a thorough investigation of the lead company, and check with people who have used the leads themselves.

After this experience I decided to really check out the internet and see what else there was available. My ideal solution was to generate high quality leads at low cost for myself and my team. I was also checking to see if anyone else had developed systems that could be applied to any network marketing company.

I decided that I had better get “educated” so I spent a lot of time learning all I could about internet marketing. I had previously run a small internet business so have some experience of advertising on Google using pay-per-click.

After lots of research, watching videos and calling in to teleseminars, I finally got the message! Everybody needs their own list of subscribers to be a successful internet marketer. And once you have a list and have built trust, then you can market whatever you want. It sounded simple – and it is. The facts are that it is possible – it takes some work and some time, which is fair enough.

The way to link this all up with your MLM business is to build a list of people who are looking for a business. This includes those people who maybe have a business and are wanting some assistance, and thers who are wanting a new business opportunity. These people are your target audience.

Let’s address some MLM issues!

Building an MLM organisation requires consistent effort. It also requires teaching the people you recruit to do the same thing. I found that this meant a lot of work from the leader, and although you can train many others, it does not mean that they can train like you did. For me, this became an issue – I was training others, however not many of these people did the same thing. It was at this time that I started to explore the internet in search of an additional way to recruit and train people. One of the first things that I came across was the amazing training that is now available because of the internet technology, and the ease of communication across the globe.

Many network marketing companies operate internationally, and the internet means that people from all over the world can now communicate instanly via the internet. The new technologies mean that we can use Skype to talk for free to people anywhere via our PCs. Skype is one of my favorite ways of keeping in touch, and it saves loads of money which would have been spent on long distance phone calls.

I also use Voip technology to get either free international calls, or very low cost calls. The company I use is Voip Discount, however there are lots of others. Just choose the one that suits you best – terms and rates vary according tho the country you are in, and the country you are calling.

Dani is independent of any company, and provides expert sales training and personal development. Welcome to the 21st Century

Hi,

This is Janet. Have you been wondering how to get your MLM business into the 21st century?

I have met so many people who are keen to build a home business, but were not very keen on the traditional methods of finding people for their business. Many people wanted to have an internet business, or a business that they could really do from home, without going out all the time to “do meetings”.

For the past 4 years I have been actively building my MLM business with pretty good results. We worked hard, helped all the people that joined us, and achieved a significant leadership level. However, we found that the business was not growing as quickly as we had expected, and that a lot of people started out with initial enthusisam which later turned to inaction.

I truly believe that the internet is an incredibly powerful tool that will keep growing and growing. I also believe that if we do not “put the net into network marketing” we will be left out in the cold!!

This prompted me to get busy and do a lot of research and testing things out. Wow, what a lot of information is around, and what a lot of things are going on.

I will be using this blog to share my discoveries and learnings with you. This will save you a lot of time, trouble and dollars and help you to avoid making the mistakes that I did!
